Analyzing Work Process

Improving the processes and systems inside an organization allows for more immediate and accurate action to be taken in response to customers’ needs. This module takes a look at ways to analyze work processes, uncover needless complexity and waste, and assess how “fit” the organization’s work processes are to meet the needs of its customers.
The skills of work process analysis allow managers to “take a snapshot” of the current state of a process to find opportunities for improvement. At the completion of this module, Managers will be able to:

Describe the value of thoroughly analyzing a work process before making improvements
Understand the need to measure and monitor the performance of a work process in order to make improvements
